Yes! Thanks to Bill 23, most residential properties in Ontario can now legally add a second detached dwelling, subject to local zoning setbacks and servicing requirements.
Bill 23: More Homes Built Faster Act removes minimum size restrictions set by municipalities and allows second dwellings on most residential lots. Tiny homes must still comply with the Ontario Building Code (OBC), which requires a minimum size of 188 SqFt.
